New Home For Mr. Mack & His Boys

Mack Lewis for over 50 years has guided and inspired thousands of Baltimore’s young men at his humble Eager Street Gym. The Mr. Mack Lewis Foundation was formed in 2001 to assure the continuance of Lewis's lifelong dedication to the youth of East Baltimore. The first goal was to provide better facilities. Working with local builders, engineers, painters, electricians and lumberman under the direction of the Struever Brothers, Eccles and Rouse, the Foundation accomplish their first goal this summer. On July 10th, state and local dignitaries led by Baltimore's Mayor  Martin O'Malley and Lieutenant  Governor Kathleen Kennedy Townsend presided over a ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating a new home, (in the Church Square shopping center on Caroline St.), for Mr. Mack's storied program.
